This is a yielding function. When called, it will pause the Lua thread that called the function until a result is ready to be returned, without interrupting other scripts.
GetCharacterAppearanceAsync returns a
Model containing the assets which the player is wearing, excluding gear. If you prefer a Lua table of information about these assets instead, use
Players/GetCharacterAppearanceInfoAsync. This method behaves similar to
InsertService/LoadAsset, and this method is like using
InsertService/LoadAsset|LoadAsset on the asset information returned by
Players/GetCharacterAppearanceInfoAsync except faster.
